  i feel like running for a long long time or just losing it and checking myself into a hospital.

  but instead, i have to stay here and work.

  Elder calling around

  i'm a new member as i've not completely left the org yet and being a "good lil jw" would never have looked at a site like this previously!

  there is one elder in the cong who calls around every so often to "chat" as i only stopped attending meeting a couple of months ago.

  i've spoken to him about certain subjects - eg the un thing and the misuse of quotes - but he has no useful answers for me.

  dress and grooming and generation

  iam ticked off.

  during the watchtower lesson about the genration change i feel that it should have been given at least an entire watchtower lesson to cover and not just 1 or 2 paragraphs.

  we have been taught one way for so long and then all of a sudden its changed but not thoroughly covered.

  It's time to ask questions? I did and found out that the organization is one big lie. It's a cult that wants to control you in every way. Taking away you're individuality and freedom of thought.

  i've been lurking for some time, since i was "disconnected" by my husband, "tooktheredpill".

  i'm a 3rd generation witness, and still inside of the borg, because all my family is inside.

  Welcome!
  You will get a lot of support here. I left just months ago after realizing that the Organization was not the 'truth'.I left with my husband and youngest son. We are so much happier. The transition isn't easy...but knowing others agree and know what you are going through is a BIG help.

  this may not be my dumbest moment, but i'm sure it ranks pretty high.

  when i was a young kid, we had a swimming pool.

  i used to swim just about every day after school.

  Do you have a spritual eating disorder?

  with all the talk of puking on the site lately, i wonder if many of us don't have spiritual eating disorders.... after all, many posters say things like "i'm puking in my mouth" while reading a pro-jw poster.. perhaps some have to really spiritually puke after attending a jw meeting to get the wt influence out.. so are you a spiritual bulimic?

  or do you just get that spiritual nausea when you see anything jw related?.

  Yes I think I may have, because the thought of sitting through a Jw meeting makes me feel sick. sadly, I have started developing the same symptoms when contemplating bible study..

  well hello all....yes...i'm a newbie.... and yep...i am an inactive witness.

  haven't been to a meeting in a while.

  my entire family are witnesses, actually had a relative that proclaimed to be of the 144000...thats how deep....this is third generation witnesses here in this family.

  I am liking myself more. I can be the person I like being. Rather than a Watchtower clone. I can dress with my own style, read what appeals to me, speak as I am impelled to speak. Yes, Now I can really be who appeals to me. I hope to really love who I am.
